  • Start by completing our application. We review every application, and if it's a good fit, we'll invite you to place a $250 deposit. Your deposit secures your place in line; picks are made in the order deposits are received, and you can see the current order on our Waiting List Deposit Order page. When you apply, tell us your preferences (gender, coloring, coat type) so we know what you're waiting for. If we don't have the right match for you in a litter, your deposit and your place in line carry over to the next one.

  • Our puppies are placed through the waiting list, so it's best to apply well in advance if you're serious about a puppy from us. Our upcoming litters page is updated regularly, and we post frequently on Facebook and Instagram. Email us with any questions about upcoming litters.

  • Yes. We believe placing a puppy is about long-term fit, not just availability. Every family completes an application and speaks with us before we invite them to place a deposit. Our goal is lifelong success for our dogs and their families.

  • We live on a working ranch, so life is busy. Visits are reserved for families with a deposit on our waiting list, on scheduled visitation days after the puppies are 6 weeks old and at pickup. If you're deciding whether we're the right breeder for you, email us—we're happy to answer questions and send pictures.

  • We're 45 minutes from Kansas City International Airport in Odessa, Missouri. If you can't pick up in person, we offer hand delivery anywhere in the U.S. via flight nanny—your puppy flies as a carry-on, cared for the entire trip, and meets you at your nearest airport. We don't ship puppies unsupervised. Cost depends on your location and time of year.

  • Email us at info@moberneseanddoodle.com. We also post regular updates on Facebook and Instagram and try to respond to messages there within 48 hours. If you have a question not covered on our website, just ask.

  • Every one of our breeding dogs is health-tested before they're ever paired, and we only breed dogs that pass. All parents undergo joint evaluations and comprehensive genetic screening through Embark, including clearance for Cataracts, Degenerative Myelopathy, and Von Willebrand Disease. Results are available in the upcoming litters section.

  • Yes. Our puppies are socialized from day one in our home and on our ranch with our children and other dogs. They make wonderful family companions.

  • Bernedoodles are affectionate, loyal, and want to be close to their people. We breed for stable, even temperaments—the calm, steady disposition of the Bernese Mountain Dog balanced with the intelligence and trainability of the Poodle. Families often describe them as adaptable, gentle, and deeply bonded.

  • Bernedoodles are generally low- to moderate-shedding, but it varies by coat type and generation. Puppies with more Poodle influence and furnished coats shed very little; those with more Bernese influence may shed slightly more. No dog is fully non-shedding or hypoallergenic, but many families find Bernedoodles a good fit for reduced-shedding homes. We're happy to talk through what to expect from each litter.

  • The Bernese Mountain Dog is a purebred dog, recognized by the American Kennel Club. Bernese Mountain Dogs have a signature tri-color, flat coat that does shed. The Bernedoodle is a hybrid of a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog and Standard Poodle or another Bernedoodle. Bernedoodles come in a variety of colors such as Black Tri, Bi-Black, and Sable. Standard Bernedoodles generally range from 23-25 inches at the shoulder and can weigh between 50-60+ pounds.

  • We breed both Standard and Mini Bernedoodles. Standards typically mature between 60–75+ pounds; Minis generally land in the 30–40-pound range. Size varies by pairing, and we'll share expectations for each litter.

  • We primarily breed F1 and F1 Reverse Bernedoodles, pairing Bernese Mountain Dogs with F1 Bernedoodles or Poodles to prioritize structure, temperament, and health. Our F1 Reverse puppies are typically 75% Bernese Mountain Dog and 25% Poodle. As our program grows, we plan to introduce carefully developed multi-generational Bernedoodles.
